The interface is simple on the surface but everything is clickable to get more detail. It's designed for the average US farmer - readable text, familiar charts and graphs like we all learned in high school. To be useful, it has to be usable.
How do I get all my existing records into the system?
We know first-hand that goat farmers cobble together records across multiple apps, spreadsheets, and todo lists. If you can export your existing data in .csv format, you can import it into HerdMate - that covers most software out there. For AGS and ADGA goats on milk test, HerdMate can auto-load CDCB data from registration numbers to save you typing.
Does this work for meat goats and dairy goats?
Yes! HerdMate is designed for all goat operations. Track breeding cycles and feed costs for meat goats, monitor milk production and withdrawal periods for dairy herds. The system adapts to your specific operation type whether you're raising for meat, milk, shows, or breeding stock.
